Lear Pharmacy was opened in Ansonia, CT in 1916 by Fred Lear and has been family run for over 100 years. The business was purchased by Joan Radin in 1975, who started as an intern there two decades earlier after graduating from UConn with a pharmacy degree.
Joan is still running Lear Pharmacy today along with her daughter Kathy. Beyond prescription and over the counter medication, the pharmacy also doubles as a gift shop. Greeting cards, candy, collectibles, and custom-made gift baskets are just some of the wonderful and unique items you'll find when you walk through the doors.
At Lear Pharmacy, everyone is treated like a close friend or family member. Prescription delivery is made available for those who have difficulty getting out of the house and a seating area is available to customers who want to visit or spend time connecting with one another. They take pride in offering personalized service that is so difficult to find in an increasingly busy and digital world.
When you choose Lear Pharmacy, you get the benefits of a national chain while supporting a local, family owned business and receiving the personal care and attention you deserve.
